‘Rave or Behave’ (formerly Bounce) is the new signature night from us guys at up.dnb, and boy do we have an opener for you!

In the last 6 months, the Brazilian-born superstar S.P.Y. (Carlos Lima) has made a new mark on the DNB scene, and with a bang. From his first releases in ’07 on Med School, the Hospital off-shoot, we have witnessed a honing of style. Hours in the studio now means we are regularly treated to filthy basslines, crisp rolling drums and menacing melodies. This has not gone unnoticed as S.P.Y. has recently worked with DNB legends Total Science and the one and only DJ Marky, and has produced numerous dance floor destroyers such as ‘Gangsta’ ‘Soul Patrol remix’ ‘Riff Raff’ ‘Ghost Ship’ and ‘Legion’.

The venue has also recently had a lot of work done to it, with a relocation of the DJ booth, new sound system installed and a spruce in general.

So kick the new term off with a bang, get your dancing shoes on and Rave…or Behave!

It’s that time of year again people, the University’s Fresher’s Fayre in Ravelin Park! We are going to have a stall for anyone that wants to sign up to the society for the year.

This university year is going to be the biggest one for DNB ever, and we will be welcoming a few new faces behind our turntables as well as some you have already seen before!

Also, all of us on the committee would like to that every single one of you who have supported us in our first year as ‘up.dnb’. Everything we did was made better by a continued base of support over the whole year, which has made this year’s decisions so much easier!

So, get yourselves down to the Fresher’s Fayre and sign up to the society for another heavy year… we’ll be spinning tunes too.

UPdnb & Sumo have been working behinds the scenes this summer to bring to you a ridiculous freshers special to kick start the year.

Catch DJ Marky as he comes to Portsmouth exclusively as part of his UK Tour. Marky will only performing a limited amount of gigs in the UK so don’t miss out! Marky is perhaps most well known for the infamous track LK produced alongside XRS, and released in 2002. Since then, Marky has been amongst the top players in the drum and bass scene and played gigs all over the world.

This event will sellout, as did our past 3 events at the Wedgewood Rooms.
